If you use the Internet in your business to find valuable resources, you can save entire Web pages as MHT files by using Internet Explorer. MHT files help you save valuable disk space on business computers. Although MHT files are archives that contain JPEG images and other files that make up Web pages, you can't use WINRAR or WinZIP to extract the images. You can, however, use Microsoft Office Word 2010 to extract the JPEG images.

1. Launch Microsoft Office Word 2010.

2. Click "File" in the top left corner of the Word window and select "Open" from the menu.

3. Select "All Web Pages" from the file type drop-down box, select the MHT file and click "Open" to open the Web page.

4. Click "File" and select "Save As" from the menu.

5. Select "Web Page (*.htm;*.html)" from the "Save As Type" drop-down box.

6. Select a location to save the files and click "Save." A folder is created in that location.

7. Open the folder to find the JPEG images.

  • Not all images on a Web page are in JPEG format.
